Our mission is to to end the cycle of poverty and transform communities by empowering families and youth to succeed in education and achieve lifelong self-sufficiency. While there is no limitation on the family type, historically 90% of Family Scholar House Participants are single mothers with children and 85% of those have experienced trauma from Domestic Violence.

What is Phoenix Scholar House?

The Phoenix Scholar House is a unique and innovative educational program that includes affordable housing options. Education is the primary requirement to enable the head of household to reach self-sufficiency. The program is dedicated to helping single-parent families to achieve economic independence through education. They have a proven track record of success, with a high percentage of participants achieving stable housing and employment after exiting the program.

Who is it for?

Low-income single parents looking to pursue or achieve a post-secondary education, including those experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, poverty, or domestic violence or trauma will benefit from a range of wrap-around supportive services, including academic and career development, affordable housing, and family support.
